Gary G. Koesler, 65, of Montgomery, entered eternal rest March 30 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He went to be with Jesus, his Lord, and Master. He was born March 20, 1953 in Aurora, Illinois. Gary had an adventurous spirit which included his love of travel and deliberate christian outreach. He started his education by attending college in Dallas, Texas at Berean Life Corps and continued his education at Liberty Bible College in Pensacola, Florida. His outreach included work in the United States and abroad in Asia, Europe and Mexico. Gary married his beautiful wife, Naomi, in Sri Lanka in 1980. They have six children. Gary was a pastor/elder at Hope Fellowship Church in Aurora and owner of Koesler’s Exterminating. Gary had abounding faith in the Lord Jesus,unmatched by any human standard. He adored his family and was intentional about making connections and reaching out to others in the most genuine of ways. He was an ultimate servant of God where he shared the Gospel so authentically with passion and zest. His joyful spirit and loving heart will be his testimony for all those who knew him. Survivors include his loving wife Naomi (Gurusinghe) Koesler, of 37 years; six children, Trey Koesler, Andrea Koesler (Eleazar), Serena Ramirez (Dre), Shane Koesler (Koraima), Ira Koesler, and Jason Koesler; four beautiful grandchildren; his siblings, Bonnie (Dave) Keller, of Bristol, Illinois, Craig (Karen) Koesler, of Streator, Illinois, Rena Koesler, of Farmville, Virginia, and Connie (Steve) Schoop, of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; several in-laws, nieces, and nephews, including those he had the pleasure to fellowship with throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Pew; his father, Floyd Koesler; his stepmother, Susie Koesler; and his sisters, Betty Decker and Norma Nauert. A visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5 at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6 at Calvary Church Naperville, 9S200 IL-59, Naperville, Illinois.
