George “Mike” Foster, 71, of Oswego, IL, and a long-time resident of Aurora, passed away, peacefully, at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Mike was born September 20, 1950, in Aurora to the late Lawrence “Mickey” and Elsie (Manning) Foster. Mike spent many years in the moving and storage industry where he developed many long-lasting friendships. During his free time, Mike enjoyed watching sports, playing golf, working in the yard and spoiling his beloved dog, Sadie. In addition to his hobbies, Mike loved spending time traveling to tropical destinations with his wife, but being “Bumpa” to his four grandchildren (Wrigley Foster; Cruz, Foster & Rico Fuentes) was what made him most proud. He is survived by his wife of 48 ½ years, Sue (Hattersley) Foster; son Steve (Amanda) Foster and daughter Megan (Alex) Fuentes. In addition to his immediate family, Mike is also survived by his brother Rev. Daniel (Anita) Foster and sister Lou Ann (Lloyd) Cates, as well as many loving brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, sister Bonnie Foster. Family will be receiving guests Tuesday, June 28, from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home: 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538.
