Heide E. Schmidt

Heidelora E. Schmidt, 57, of Sheridan, IL passed away surrounded by her family on November 28, 2022. She was born on May 28, 1965 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Christian and Emilie Gerhardt. Heide was currently employed with Advocate Health and had been a dedicated employee for the past 25 years. She was loving wife and mother but her most adored title was that of Grandma. She loved cooking and baking and time spent with family.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Schmidt; daughters, Amy Schmidt and Brittany (Alec) Scheib and beloved granddaughter Kayla Scheib. She is also survived by her siblings; Rose Gerhardt, Barbara Orstead, Phil (Tina) Gerhardt and Rudy (Joyce) Gerhardt as well as many nieces and nephews and beloved dog Charlie.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harold Gerhardt.

Family will be receiving guests on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538.
