Isidro Rodriguez

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Isidro Rodriguez.
 He peacefully went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 31, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. Isidro was born in Allende, Nuevo León, Mexico. He was a man of remarkable character whose life was defined by his faith in Jesus Christ and his gentle spirit. He retired from Caterpillar after 30 years of employment, and in 1970, he helped start the church Iglesia Bautista Emanuel in Aurora, IL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Isidro lived a life filled with service to others, providing guidance and wisdom to many. He was passionate about being surrounded by family, fixing anything that broke, and attending church. Whether he was tending to his grandchildren or sharing stories of his experiences in Mexico and coming to the United States, his love for others was contagious. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world, and he took great pride in their accomplishments. His faith in Jesus Christ provided him with comfort and taught us the importance of obedience to the Lord. We will carry his legacy forward, cherishing the values he imparted.
Isidro is survived by his wife of 68 years, Maria Eva Rodriguez (Reyes), his children Sid Rodriguez (Monty, Land of Lakes, FL), Sylvia Delgado (Efrain, Aurora IL), Ruben Rodriguez
 (Melissa, Yorkville IL), Roy Rodriguez (Karin, Naperville IL), Rachel Petersen (Randy, Yorkville IL), Roddy Rodriguez (Billie, Garland TX), Lupe Nava (Moni), father figure to granddaughter Eliz Hernandez (Tito, Montgomery Il), 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and siblings Delia,
 Lupe, Ernestor, Eudoro, and Olga.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Moni Rodriguez Nava, grandson Jason Gonzalez, his parents Nestor and Ramona Rodriguez, and siblings Ramiro, Ismael, Adelaida, Amelia, and Ofelia.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Isidro will be held on September 9, 2023, with visitation from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and funeral services following at Dieterle Memorial Home,
 Montgomery, Il.
Though we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, we find solace in knowing that he lived a life well-lived, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched. May his soul rest in peace.
