James J. Carney

James J. Carney, 76 of Naperville, passed away Thursday September 29, 2022 at Meadowbrook Manor in Naperville. Jim was born April 20, 1946 in Elmhurst, IL, son of Joseph and Edith (Harbour) Carney. He proudly served in The United States Army during the Vietnam War and he became a photo specialist during that time. After his time in the Army, Jim became a Chemical Operator and held that position for over 30 years. He had a passion for cooking; Jim also enjoyed all Chicago sports teams; especially the Bears, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He is survived by 3 daughters; Natalie (Dan) Ciska, Cori (John) Battista and Melissa (Ashley) Stewart. 8 grandchildren: Alischa (Bill) Leffler, Drew Vaccaro, Alexa Rendina, Savanna Battista, Anthony Battista, Haley Hatton, Brookelyn Hatton and Parker Stewart. 2 great grandsons; Landon, Levi and 2 brothers; Bill (Sandy) and Joe (the late Ann Marie). Jim is preceded in death by his parents. Family will be recieving guests Saturday October 15, 2022 from 10:30am until service time at 11am at  St. Paul Lutheran Church, 85 S.
