James "Jim" E. Forbes

James E. “Jim” Forbes, 61, of Aurora, IL passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021.  He was born January 25, 1960 in Aurora, IL, the son of Walter and Margaret (Covey) Forbes.  He married Susan Larson on March 21, 1980.

Jim loved his job, working for Spring Lake Cemetery and Riverside Cemetery both for over 40 years.  He spent time camping and hanging out with his friends at HiTide and Rolling Oaks, working on cars with his sons, loved teasing and spending time with his grandchildren, riding his Harley, enjoying a good steak and a diet Pepsi. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Walter Forbes, Jr.

Jim is survived by his wife, Susan; 2 sons, James J. (Christina) Forbes and Andrew (Brittany) Forbes; 3 grandchildren, Madelyn, Payton and Gavin Forbes and his best buddy, Bandit.

Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 3-7 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home,1120 S Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Due to current restrictions a limited number of guests will be allowed in the chapel, we ask that you pay your respects in a timely fashion.
