John Hagie

John T. Hagie, 68, of Montgomery, IL passed away on January 25, 2019. He was born on November 2, 1950 in Geneva, IL. John was a longtime member of the Eagles Club, Turner Club and Yorkville Moose Lodge. He was a manager at Circle E in Aurora, he worked at St. Charles Boys Home and the Work Release Center. Most recently he was a dedicated bus driver for over 25 years for Pace. He achieved the Million Mile Status, which was earned for driving a million miles for Pace with no accidents. He was very proud of this accomplishment and was committed to keeping his passengers safe.  John was known for his loving and generous spirit, he was able to continue that even in death by being an organ donor through the Gift of Hope. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Jean Bliss of 31 years, his son Jason (Christine) Bliss, brother, James (Ruthanne) Hagie of Alabama, Susan (Woody) Woods of Sandwich and sister-in-law Laura Hagie of Montgomery. He is also survived by many grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Julia Hagie and siblings, Robert, Richard and Judith Hagie.

Family will be receiving guests on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will be private.
