John J. Sbarbaro, 42, of Aurora, joined his mother in heaven Saturday January 12th 2019 after a courageous 10-month battle with cancer. He was born February 27th 1976 in Meadville Pennsylvania. John was an avid Cubs fan, who loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed cooking, drinking a beer and watching Live P.D. His happiest moments were spending time with his family, listening to music and goofing around with his daughters and nieces and nephews. We will miss him quoting movie lines, music lyrics and answering the question “when’s your birthday Uncle John?” He was a server at local area restaurants for the past 25 years, where his passion was taking care of his “regulars” always making sure they left full and with a smile on their face. He is survived by his soulmate and fiancé Deanna Martin, daughters Brittany Martin and Ahlora Sbarbaro. His father John (Gina) Sbarbaro, his best friend and brother Jason Sbarbaro, his sister Natalie Sbarbaro, and “pitty neat” sister Wendy Sbarbaro, several nieces and nephews ; Alex, Darrian, Collin, Madison, Klaira, Emily, Ali, Yasmeen, Aiden, Yvonne, Adam, and Malik along with a host of extended family and friends. Not to be forgotten his beloved cat, Lucy. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Yvonne Sbarbaro, his grandmother, Carolyn Bailey, and his favorite Auntie Dawn. A special shout-out to the third floor Oncology nursing staff at Presence Mercy for their care of not only John but also for Deanna.
