Jose Filiberto Sanchez Sr.

Jose Filiberto Sanchez, 75, of Aurora IL, passed away on July 8, 2022. He was born December 8, 1946 the son of Maria and Isabel Sanchez. Jose was a very loving husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Brother. He loved listening to Tejano music, working on cars, collecting old cars, and riding motorcycles. He retired from General Mills after 28 and a half years. He Graduated from East Aurora High School class of 1967. Following his graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam for 3 years in the field and also as a heavy equipment mechanic. He then married Maria Sanchez. They Celebrated 46 years of marriage in May. Jose was a loyal member to the church of Templo Sion.

Jose is Survived by his wife, Maria Sanchez; son, Jose F (Jennifer) Sanchez Jr; brothers, Arturo (Jennifer) Garza, Jose Luis (Vicky) Garza, Juan Manuel (Diane) Garza; sisters, Consuelo Shelato, Lupe (Oscar) Rodriguez, Florinda (Jose) Vela, Minerva (Abel) Munoz; grandchildren, Jaclyn M Sanchez, Jose F Sanchez III, and Abigail N Sanchez; and great-grandchild, Kairo I Savage.

He is proceeded in death by his Daughter, Abigail Sanchez; father, Luis Elizondo Garza; and mother, Maria Quintanilla Garza

Donations under Jose’s name may be made out to Maria Sanchez, his wife.

Family will be receiving guests on July 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S Broadway Ave, Montgomery, IL 60538. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on July 16, 2022 also at Dieterle Memorial Home. Interment at Riverside Cemetery.
