Joseph F. Fletcher “Frank”, 77, a lifelong resident of Aurora and Plainfield, IL died peacefully in his home on January 12, 2022. He was born on January 20, 1944 in Aurora, IL the son of John and Loretta (Sartor) Fletcher.
Frank was a longtime, active member of Harvest New Beginnings Church in Oswego for over 45 years. He volunteered his time in many capacities but he was most passionate about Awana and the Food Bank. After 31 years of dedicated service he retired from Caterpillar, after retirement he held many part time positions including Farm and Fleet.
He is survived by his children; Vic (Lori) Schimpf, Kim (Joe) Zahn, Mike (Teresa) Schimpf and Paul (Denise) Fletcher; grandchildren, Rachel, Zach and Gage Schimpf, Lorelei Zahn, Corey and Chad Schimpf, Ashley (Don) Schulz, and Corey Fletcher and one great-granddaughter, Hollie Hahn. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 40 years, Kay Fletcher and brothers, Johnny and Jay Fletcher.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care Frank received in his home from Kim and John with Seasons Hospice, his Aunts, Patsy and Maria and grandsons Chad and Corey.
Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. A private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery, IL at a later date.
