Kathleen Schindel Williams,75, of Aurora passed away peacefully on May 10, 2018  in her home. Her sisters Rita and Linda were by her side as well as devout friends who surrounded her in prayer during her final hour. Kathy was born on January 21, 1943 in Aurora, Illinois to Rita O. Schindel and Edmund H. Schindel.  She is survived by her sisters, Rita Smith (Michael), Dolores Grams (Ed) and Linda Schindel Moore, brothers Edmund Schindel (Emma), Robert Schindel (Fran) and Richard Schindel (Sue). She was especially close to her nephew Luke Edmund Moore (Blair). Her life long friend Winnie Strohmeyer, husband John,  daughter Heather Jensen, and husband Curt, of Menifee and Long Beach, CA  accompanied her on her final journey in her quest for healing in California. Their support and loyalty to her were a true blessing. She is survived by generations of nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. She will be remembered with love and heartfelt fondness by her family and many old and new friends. Her happy most recent memories were made while traveling about in  California and meeting a wide collection of new friends and health professionals.She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Felix Fuller Williams, her parents Edmund and Rita Schindel, and sister Marion Todd (Robert). Kathy was a kind and generous person who offered her caregiving spirit to her Mother for 21 years.  Both Kathy and her husband Felix demonstrated their thoughtful caring skills to many family and friends as well as his chiropractic patients. For many years, Kathy managed Dr. Williams chiropractic offices in California and Illinois.

Both Kathy and Felix had a deep love of the ocean, cultivated by time  spent living and vacationing in Florida and California. She loved the expanse of beaches and visited as often as possible in recent years.In addition, Kathy loved animals large and small and appreciated God's creatures,especially dogs. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 620 S Fifth Street in

Aurora, Illinois at 11:00 am on Monday May 21, 2018 with Father Gerald Tivy officiating. Luncheon will follow at St. Francis Center adjacent to the church. 

Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Aurora.
