Kathy Skrtic

On Saturday, November 13, 2021, Kathy Skrtic, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 89. Kathy was born on March 2nd, 1932 in Croatia to Marija and Marko Mogus. Beloved wife of the late Frank Skrtic. Together they raised one daughter, Mary Skrtic and one son, Tom Skrtic. Kathy and Frank moved to North Aurora together with their family in April, 1970. She was a devout Catholic, who regularly attended mass on Sundays at Annunciation Catholic Church. She loved gardening and always was proud of her yard that she cared for, for many years. Kathy was a good cook and loved preparing big meals when her grandchildren would visit.

Kathy is survived by daughter, Mary Skrtic and son, Tom (Jody) Skrtic; loving Grandmother of Malissa (Ed) Empamano, Michelle Lisnich, Tom (Jess) Lisnich, Jason (Krista) Skrtic, Jana (Greg) Swanson, Jourdan (Kevin) Moore; Great-Grandmother of Elyse Empamano, Kate Empamano, Iva Lisnich, Carter Skrtic, Kye Skrtic, Lincoln Swanson, Kaden Swanson, Sloan Swanson, Reagan Swanson and Jaxy Moore.

Family will be receiving guests on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S Broadway Ave, Montgomery, IL 60538. A funeral mass will take place following visitation at Noon on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1820 Church Road, Aurora, IL 60505.

Kathy will be buried beside her late husband, Frank Skrtic, at Marywood Cemetery in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Annunciation Church, 1820 Church Road, Aurora, IL 60505.
