Leah Fowler

Leah Jane Fowler (Tanner), 79, of Aurora passed away on August 10, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 29, 1938 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Edward and Melva (Jacobson) Tanner. Leah devoted her life to her family and found much enjoyment in her grandchildren. She also loved crafts, traveling, painting, and the outdoors. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Warren “Ken” Fowler; children, Laurie (the late Dan) McGuire, Mark (Doris) Fowler and Karen (Dale) Feiden; grandchildren, Caitlin (Taylor) Bucher, Kaori (Cory) Powers, Edwina and Draco McGuire, Heather (Carl) Bossio, Meghan (Jason) Ahlert, Jennifer (Ronnie) Groom and Aaron and Kelsey Feiden; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Warren (Kay) Tanner and sister-in-law Pat Tanner as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Benjamin Logan Feiden and brother, Larry Tanner. The family would like to thank Anita Payne for the love and care that was shown to Leah through the years.

Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, August 16th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave.  Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be on Thursday, August 17th at 10:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL.
