Lillian Lee Douglas, 70, of Aurora, IL, passed away Saturday May 13, 2017 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born November 27, 1946 in Paducah, Kentucky, daughter of Marion and Nora (Lovin) Hamby.  She was a cosmetologist and hair stylist for many years; and after that, she worked in the electrical industry for many years before finally retiring. Lillian enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, listening to music, she was very involved in the Butterfield Baptist Church in Aurora, She had a massive collection of things that had to do with light houses, over 90 items including many Thomas Kincaid paintings were among her collection, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lillian is survived by 1 daughter Deana (Bill) Miller and 1 son Jeff (Dorene) Douglas. 6 grandchildren; Carey, Steven, Garrett (Ashley) Miller, Haley, Megan, and Alexis. 2 great grandchildren; Reagan and Isaiah. 1 brother Jim Hamby, and 1 sister Judy (Fran) Cordes. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Danny, and 1 sister, Elaine. Family will be receiving guests Wednesday May 17, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL.  A second visitation will take place on Tuesday May 23, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of service at noon, at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home, 70 Jon Street, Metropolis, IL.  Interment will take place at Metropolis Memorial Gardens in Metropolis, IL.  Lillian was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She touched the lives of all that knew her and she will be greatly missed. Donations to Seasons Hospice, 2195 W. Diehl Road, Naperville Road., Naperville, IL, 60563  appreciated.
