Lois Volkel McCann Stuart

Lois Volkel McCann Stuart, 94, of Montgomery, IL passed away, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her home.  She was born June 12, 1926 in Harvey, IL, the daughter of Lawrence and Marie Volkel.  She graduated from East Aurora High School and was employed by The Merchants National Bank.

She was a Girl Scout leader for seven years, was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, Ladies of the Moose, Home and Community Education, attended the senior centers of Aurora and Oswego, St. Anne’s Church and volunteered at Copley Hospital for over twenty years.

She is survived by her children, Cathy (Rickey) Wray and her children, Jean Ann Oliver, Charles Wray and Joannie Perez, Susan (Rex) Krieger and her children, Stacey Shields, Kristine Bassett and Jonathan Birdwell and Timothy (Nancy) McCann and his son, Sean McCann; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Margaret (Keith) Lewis and Charlotte (Ervin) Gemmer, her husband, Charles M. McCann and husband, V. Rodney Stuart.
