Lorraine Halterman

Lorraine M. Halterman, 94, of Des Moines, IA, formerly of Aurora, passed away on May 7, 2021. She was born on September 29, 1926 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Walter and Mary Francis (Goodendorf) Lee. In 1988 she retired from Allstate after many years of dedicated service. Rainey was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved crossword puzzles and time spent with family.

She is survived by her sons; Tim Halterman and Craig (Mary) Halterman; grandchildren; Jennifer (Mark) Koehn, Kelly Amundson, Grace (Austin) Mann, Stephen Cusack and Maggie (Wesley) Shimkus; 5 great—grandchildren, sister-in-law Marilyn Lee and Niece Donna Lee and Denny (Jeanie) Lee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Halterman, sister, Helen Moreno, brother, Walter Lee and dear friend Lois “Tootie” Martin.

Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday; May 12, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL.
