Manuel Lozano, 83, of Aurora passed away on May 9, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 19, 1933 in San Benito, Texas. He had a passion for working on cars and he loved to cook for others. He retired from Caterpillar after 37 years of dedicated service. Manuel tended bar for many years at Star Dust Ball Room and Alamo Night Club. He was a former member and past Vice President of the Aurora Latin American Club. He was a devout Catholic and member of St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church where he ushered the 8:30 Mass for many years. His sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children; Maria A. (Richard) Hall, Marina Lozano, Elizabeth “the baby” (Thomas) Noonan, and Jose M. Lozano; grandchildren, Angela C. Lozano and Jake M. Lozano; siblings, Jose (Josephine) Lozano, Mary Mahara, John Lozano, and Virginia Lozano, he is also survived by brother-in-law Anastacio Gonzalez, special nephew Pete Alvarez, special niece Irma Benavidez and wonderful neighbor Jorge. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marina Migder, wife, Guadalupe and special dog Louie. Family will receive guests on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church 750 West Old Indian Trail Aurora, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, IL. A luncheon will follow.
