Marcel Andre’ Kozak, 83, passed away Saturday October 23, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born September 24, 1938 in Bois-le Roi, France, son of Florian and Marguerite (Boullier) Kozak. Marcel proudly served in both the French Army and The United States Army simultaneously during the Cuban Missile Crisis. During his time with the United States Army, he was part of the 1st Infantry Division known as the Bloody Red 1 as well as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. Marcel was also a sharpshooter, he was awarded a motor vehicle badge, good conduct medal, the army occupational medal and he also had CBR warfare defense training. His experience as a mechanic lead him to a career as a mechanic for UPS for 31 years. He enjoyed fixing cars, bikes, motorcycles, gardening, his grandkids but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family, friends and dancing. Marcel is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy, 2 daughters; Janine Stalcup, Nicole Newell, 4 grandchildren: Kyle Andre’, Alexander, Aaron, and Madelyn. A sister, Jeannette Germain, a nephew Pascal Germain and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Marcel is preceded in death by his parents. Family will be receiving guests Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 3pm to 7pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday October 28, 2021, 11am at St. Anne Catholic Church, Oswego. Burial will take place at Risen Lord Catholic Cemetery in Oswego.
