Maria Nieves Contreras Cedillo

Maria Nieves Contreras Cedillo, 73, of Mier y Noriega, Nuevo Leon passed away on July 28, 2021. She was born on September 16, 1947 the daughter of Maria Bernabe Garcia and Nieves Cedillo.

Nieves was an extremely dedicated wife to her husband, Filadelfio. She liked to listen to music and dance. She enjoyed gathering the family together, especially through meals and cooking. Having the whole family together made her very happy.

Nieves is survived by her husband, Filadelfio; her children, Raudel, Nevid (Norma), Sandra (Mario), Nora (Favio), Fili (Cecilia), Omar (Margarita), Thania (Javier); 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Amalia, Juan Lucio, Juan, Maricela, Lilia, Salomon, Jaime; and Johan, who she treated as a son.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Fidel.

Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave, Montgomery, IL 60538. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 925 Sard Ave, Aurora, IL 60506. Interment at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Aurora.
