Maria Elvia Martinez-Velazquez

Maria Elvia Martinez Velazquez, 64, of Aurora passed away surrounded by her family on October 17, 2018. She was born in Mexico the daughter of Luis and Socorro (Ortiz) Martinez. Maria loved gardening, knitting, shopping and especially enjoyed traveling. Above all things she loved her family dearly and adored her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Wesley (Celeste) Eldridge, Michelle (Jose) Gonzalez, Daniel (Judith Martinez) Velazquez and David (Eli) Velazquez; grandchildren, Wesley Jr., Aracely, Cyrus, Cyann, Cyeli, Arlan, Iliana ,Ezra and Daniel; siblings, Oliva, Delfina, Noe and Bernardo. She is also survived by special nieces and nephews; Rose, Fabiola, Liliana and Luis as well as many other loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Julio Velazquez, grandson, Santiago Eldridge and brother, Luis.

Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, October 24th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Nicolas Catholic Church, 308 High Street, Aurora, IL 60505. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.
