Maria Salinas

Maria Salinas, 39, of Aurora, passed away Saturday August 17, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born September 14, 1979 in Aurora, IL, daughter of Tim and Sylvia (Jimenez) Root; also Tony Salinas. Maria enjoyed painting nails, music, her beta fighting fish but most of all spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lakia Waldsmith, 5 sisters, Sonya (Juan) Guzman, Brandy Root, Tammy Root, Danielle Root, Shannon (Deno) Johnson, 1 brother, Robert Salinas, Her mother, Sylvia, her step father Tim and father Tony. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Maria is preceded by her grandmothers, Maria Jimenez, Paula Salinas and a cousin, Aries Gonzalez “Jaybird”. Family will be receiving guests Wednesday August 21, 2019 from 3pm to 7pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery. Funeral services Thursday August 22, 2019, 11am at the funeral home.
