Maria Villasenor

Maria Villasenor, 70, of Aurora, IL passed away on May 9, 2022 with her family by her side.

She was born on October 1, 1951 in Des Plaines, IL the daughter of Jose and Lydia (Menchaca) Gonzalez. Maria was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Above all things Maria adored her time spent with family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She held a special bond with each of them. She was also a devout Catholic who devoted much of her time to St. Therese and Sacred Heart Church. 

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Santiago; daughters, Maria (Angel) Hernandez and Rachel (Jamie) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Jesus, Ruben, Santiago, Mara, Bianca, Angel and Alec; great-grandchildren, Angel, Carlo, Lorenzo and Lola. She is also survived by her siblings, Josie (Juvenal) Garcia, Jose (Mary) Gonzalez and Yolanda Lopez. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lydia Nunez, Ray (the late Anna) Yamas and Juanita (the late Miguel) Arenas.

Family will be receiving guests from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church 271 N. Farnsworth Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
