Marie Seabaugh, resident of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 24th.
Mrs. Seabaugh was born on December 26th, 1927 in Shelburn, Indiana to Harry and Doris Vester. She married Travis Seabaugh on January 7, 1946 and they raised their family and operated their local business, Whitey's Electric in Aurora, IL. Marie had a long time career as a telephone operator for AT&T. She retired to Summerville in the late 1980s and loved the beauty of the Charleston area. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her Summerville Church of Christ family and loving her little cat Chloe. She was a warm and loving mother and grandmother. We could always count on her sweet smile, listening ear, and unbelievable baking skills.
She is survived by two children, five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild: daughter Stella (Roland) Novak; their children Sherrie (Lonnie) Southard, their children Rhett Morse, Victoria Southard, and Nichole (Haris) Jakupovic, their child Jax Jakupovic; Laura (Thomas) Slodkowksi, their children Katelyn Cunningham and Lillie Slodkowski; son David (Luella) Seabaugh, their children Sarah (Stephan) Parent, their children Liam and Isabelle; Jennifer (Chris) Brannock, their children Ty and Trent; Charles (Amy) Allen, their children, Noah, John, Caroline and Levi. She is also survived by her brother Jim (Mary) Vester and her sister-in-law Lillie Owen.
Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.
