Marilyn Scarbrough

Marilyn Scarbrough of Montgomery, IL passed away on January 24, 2021 at Rush Copley. She was born Marilyn R Kidd in Boaz,  Wisconsin on March 15, 1930. She came to Aurora IL with her sister, Kathleen after high school to work as a secretary at Thor Power Tool company where she met her husband, Chet Pflueger. Later she worked at DCFS for the state of Illinois until she retired.
Marilyn loved her family and her animals. She enjoyed watching the White Sox, Bulls and her Illini.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Fern and Gifford Kidd; her stepmother, Dorothy Ames; her husbands, Chet Pflueger and Doc Scarbrough; siblings,  Myron (Shirley) Kidd, Keith (Geri) Kidd, Kathleen (Jim) Abel, and Lavina Campton.
Marilyn is survived by siblings, Duane (Jean) Kidd, Dorsey Ames, Danny (Jody) Kidd, Delores (John) Rydberg; special nieces, Melissa Abel (Tom) and Lori Kidd; great grandson, Riley Scarbrough and loving members of the Scarbrough family; special friends, Paula, Jerry and Brett Zimmerman; and her little doggie Sox.
A celebration of her life will be had at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to the Starfish Animal Rescue or animal rescue of your choice.
