Mark W. Strausberger, Jr.

Mark William Strausberger, Jr., 42, of Van Dyne, WI formerly of Montgomery, IL passed away surrounded by family on May 21, 2022 after a valiant fight against colon cancer. Through his journey with cancer, Mark was able to rekindle his relationship with the Lord. He was born on December 12, 1979 in Aurora, IL the son of Mark W. and Elizabeth (Gibson). In 1998 Mark graduated from Aurora Central Catholic. He later went on to own and operate Northern Contractor Solutions Inc. with business partner and dear friend Joe DeCort. Mark was a sports enthusiast and especially loved the game of golf. He was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed all outdoor activities. Above all things he adored his sons and loved his family dearly.  He will be sorely missed but his bright and kindred spirit will live on in each of the lives he touched.

He is survived by his sons; Austin and Jackson; parents Mark W. Strausberger and Elizabeth (Gary) Holland; siblings; Chris (Beth) Strausberger, Amanda (Dave) Barngrover, Melanie and Matthew Strausberger and Brad Holland; maternal grandmother, Sandra Baylock; the love of his life, Jessica Timm and her children Kaitlynn and Anthony; the mother of his children, Crystal Golla; aunts, Lynn Pelletier and Jodi Perry and uncle, Mike Tracy. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Lois Strausberger and maternal grandfather James Gibson as well as aunt, Lori Tracy.

Family will be receiving guests on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home. A private burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to his children for an education fund that will be established; checks made payable to Austin or Jackson Strausberger with "Education Fund" in memo.
