Mark C. Wilkening

Mark C. Wilkening, 66, of Aurora, IL passed away on August 28, 2021. Mark was born on September 8, 1954 in Aurora, IL the son of William F. and Colleen (Jordan) Wilkening. Mark enjoyed playing guitar, woodworking and gardening. Mark attended East Aurora High School, during which time he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.  He was a devoted son to his mother and had a heart of gold.

He is survived by his mother, Colleen Wilkening, siblings; Merry Dreier, Jeanne Mindar, Bill (Gail) Wilkening, John Wilkening and Joe Wilkening.  Mark enjoyed spending time with family, but he especially loved being “Uncle Mark” to his 11 nieces/nephews, and 19 grandnieces/nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father William, and sister-in-law Lola Wilkening.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, IL with Rev. Jerome Leake officiating.
