Marvin Grogan

Marvin H. Grogan, 91, of Montgomery, IL passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Hillside Rehabilitation & Care Center in Yorkville, IL.  He was born July 27, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Clark and Lula (Smith) Grogan.  On February 8, 1948 he married Geraldine Fipps in Camp Fanning, TX while he was serving in the US Army during WW11. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church on Lake Street in Aurora. He is survived by his daughter, Janice Bennett of Montgomery; Grandson, David (the late Doris) Bennett of Chicago; 1 brother, Donald (Margaret) Grogan of Jefferson City, MO; 2 sisters-in-law, Opal Butler and Mavis Callahan; 1 brother-in-law, Glen (Betty) Fipps and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters-in-law, Maxine Butler,  Daveine Pursifull and Geneva Hollis and 1 brother-in-law, Elba Fipps.
