Michael J. Power

April 7, 1965 ~ May 8, 2022 (age 57) 57 Years Old

Tribute

Michael Joseph Power of Darien Illinois left this earth too soon on May 8th, 2022 at the age of 57.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Vasso Power, his mother Dorothy Power, and siblings Nanci Artwohl (Paul), Kate Austin (Gordon), Dotti Hurrle (Don), Diane Reynolds and Patrick Power Jr. (Nancy).
He was a devout family man with a fierce love for his wife Vasso, who through their time together changed his life and made him happier than anyone had ever seen him. Their many trips to Greece to visit Vasso's family over the years were some of the happiest most fulfilling times of his life.
Michael adored his nieces and nephews and was extremely proud of their journeys. He had the most generous heart, a brilliant mind, a great sense of humor, a natural charisma to memorize everything and an incredible depth of knowledge about sports, business, history and life. We always wanted Michael on our team during any game of Trivial Pursuit. He had a successful career, he was loyal to his friends and he valued honesty and authenticity. Michael was a lifelong Chicagoan and an avid sports fan who spent his life following and supporting all of the Chicago teams as well as Notre Dame, but by far his greatest team love was for the Chicago White Sox.
He will also be missed by his loving dog and constant companion, Maxi, who stole his heart and brought him extraordinary joy and laughter.
Though he will be deeply missed by so many in this life, he will be in our hearts and with us always and forever. We love you Michael, sleep well with the angels and give love to all of the family and friends who have gone before you.
Arrangements for a memorial gathering have not yet been made, but will be communicated to family and friends as they come together.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's name can be made out to either St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Doctors Without Borders .
