Olaf Olson, 93, passed away August 27, 2018. He was born August 1, 1925 in VanHook, North Dakota, son of Ole and Ingeborg Olson. He was a heavy equipment operator for Geneva Construction for over 40 years and was a member of Local 150. He proudly served his country in The United States Navy. He was a lifetime member of the Aurora Moose 400 and a member of the VFW post 7452. He enjoyed traveling and fishing, but most of all spending time with family and friends. He is survived by 3 daughters; Marlene Gibson, Diana VanHaecke, Nancy Roberts (Chris), Step children, Debbie Murphy (Charlie), Gary Parker(Robinn), Mike Parker(Sue), Jeff Parker(Caroline)and Steve Parker. 6 grandchildren; Amie Julie, Carrie, Andrew, Melanie, and Melissa. 1 Brother Ingwald(Inky) Olson and 1 sister Marlene Newman. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, wives Carol and Beverly, 1 sister; Ann Brockel, 2 brothers; Art Olson, and Arnold Olson. Family will be receiving guests Friday August 31, 2018 from 3:00 pm until service at 7:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery.
