Patricia Hopper

Patricia L. Hopper, 67, of Montgomery, IL passed away peacefully on February 3, 2020 at Rush Copley Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1952 in Gary, Indiana, The daughter of Arthur Hopper (Crown Point, IN) and Irene Hopper (Aurora, IL).  Patricia worked for Southwest Airlines as a flight attendant for many years and retired in 2016. Her passion was flying and traveling with the airline. She enjoyed spending time in her “little paradise” in Cocoa, Florida, spending time with her father fishing and enjoying her Friday date nights with her father Arthur and Charlotte at the Pancake House and the penny arcade. She moved to Montgomery, IL in November of 2017 to spend time with her close family, especially her mother Irene. She was dedicated to spending as much time with her great nephews “her babies” Barrett Humenik and Connor Thomas. Patricia is survived by her parents Arthur (Charlotte) Hopper and Irene Hopper; brothers Edward (Cheryl) and Dale (Debi) Hopper; sisters June (Tom) Kowalski and Renee (Kevin) Banks; step brothers Kevin Nay, Larry (John) Nay; step sister Colleen (Val) Ploetz; sons Phillip (Rose) and Stephen (Kristin) Meece; grandchildren, Nathan Meece, Aaron Meece, Catilyn Meece and Haley Meece; great granddaughter Violet Meece. She is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her stepbrother Scott Nay. Family will receive guests on Sunday, February 9th from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538.
