Phyllis Mae Drews

Phyllis Mae Drews, 88, was born May 1, 1930 in Danville, IL. to Coy W. and Edna M. (McCormick) Robertson. She died on December 14, 2018 in Aurora, IL. with her family by her side. She married Earl H. Drews on Oct 2, 1949 and was happily married until his death in 1991. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aurora since 1961 and was actively involved in the Sanctuary Staff, Golden Group, Young at Heart, Funeral Lunch Ladies and the Tabitha Guild. She was a member of Nu Phi Mu and Beta Sigma Phi Sororities. She was Treasurer of the Constitution House Residents from 2005-2016. She is survived by her son Michael(Kay)Drews of Aurora and daughter Lucretia(Steven)Hardy of Elmhurst, IL. and her sister Margaret Bartos of Danville, IL. She has four grandchildren Megan(Jason) Mathis of Aurora, IL, Drew(Jennifer)Hardy of Cherry Valley, IL, Patrick(Rhea) Drews of Aurora, IL and Rachael(Andy) Chapman of Little Mountain, SC. She also has 8 great grandchildren, Emma, Maya, Reese, Kaylee, Layla, Bryson, Coy and Dominic. Phyllis is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018, 11a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 85 S. Constitution Dr., Aurora, IL. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 11a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be private at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL. Contributions can be made in Phyllis’ name to Lutheran Bible Translators.
