Ralph Oliver

Ralph Oliver Sr., 85, of Aurora passed away peacefully the morning of January 5, 2018. He was born on October 2, 1932, the son of Lenard Marshall Oliver and Thecla Mae (Sheridan) Oliver. He married Barbara (Olson) Oliver on October 20, 1957 and she survives. Also surviving are his four children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sister. Ralph will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by many friends, family, and co-workers. He spent his life making everyone around him laugh with his unique jokes and charming personality. He was a long time resident of Aurora who spent the majority of his career as a machinist. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. In his free time Ralph was an accomplished horseshoe player and an active church member. His family fondly remember summers with Ralph filled with vacations to Arkansas, frequent trips to the pool, and the baseball game on the radio. His family wishes to extend their gratitude to The Vistas assisted living staff and residents for their support in Ralph’s final years.
