Ramona Ramos de Ramirez

Ramona Ramos de Ramirez, 88, of Aurora, IL passed away on April 20, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 5, 1935 in Guanacivi, Durango, Mexico. She had a passion for gardening and had a beautiful flower garden. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking and was known for her famous tamales. In 2017 she was named runner-up for the senior citizen pageant in Guanacevi, Durango, Mexico. Above all things, she was devoted in her faith and loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her children; Maria D. (Enrique) Meraz, Jose Luis (Luz Estela) Ramirez and Armida (Gilberto) Mejia; grandchildren, Maricela (Jose) Torres, Elizabeth (Raymond) Langford, Enrique (Esmeralda) Meraz, Jose Luis (Rosie) Ramirez, Juan Carlos (Maria Garcia) Ramirez, Joel Ramirez, Margarita (Filiberto) Ruiz and Anais, Isabella and Maximus Mejia; siblings, Pedro, Juana and Guadalupe Ramos as well as 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jesus; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church 271 N Farnsworth Ave. Aurora, IL 60505. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
