Rebeca Nuñez, 71, of Aurora passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2018. She was born on March 3, 1947 in Mexico, the daughter of Vidal and Dolores Ceja. Rebeca was a loving wife and mother and was an amazing homemaker. She loved to cook and clean while listening to her favorite songs of praise and she especially enjoyed gardening. She was a devout catholic and could always be found reading the bible or praying the Rosary with her beloved Manuel. She was involved with many community groups within her parish at St. Nicholas in Aurora. She was the cornerstone of her family and will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Manuel; children, Manuel (Leticia) Nuñez, Ana (Juan) Rocha, Marina (the late Victor) Rangel, Moises (Yohaira) Nuñez and Rebeca (Ayman) Girgis; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Martin (Graciela) Ceja, 2 sisters, Elvira Ceja-Gallardo and Jesus (Jorge) Ceja Torres. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Maribel Carrillo and son David Nuñez in infancy.
Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church 308 High Street, Aurora, IL 60505. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Church. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL.
