Richard A. "Rick" Beauchamp

Richard (Rick) Alan Beauchamp, 71, of Aurora, IL passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Amita Health Mercy Medical Center with his wife by his side.

He was born January 13, 1950 in Chicago, was a graduate of Willowbrook High School and earned his Bachelor degree from Olivet Nazarene.  Rick worked for many years at Western Electric in West Chicago, eventually retiring from AT&T.  He was an avid Harley Davidson fan, riding his FXRD to Sturgis many times.  While Rick had many interests such as travel, fishing, Bears football, old records, his beloved cats Gracie and Violet, reading, old cars, and steam engine trains, he was most proud of being a Grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy (nee Darr), his 2 daughters,  Heather (Jason) Terman of Yorkville, IL and Nora (Lenny) Koehler of Lena, IL, his step children and 9 grandchildren Alise, Austin, Hailey, Sam, Ari, Sloane, Madeline, Benjamin and McKenna.

He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Lola Beauchamp, and his lifelong best friend Ed Ackerman.

Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.
