Richard “Rick” Cahill, 58, of Aurora passed away on December 19, 2018. He was born on June 21, 1960 in Aurora, IL the son of Raymond Sr. and Ruth (Harvey) Cahill. Rick graduated from East Aurora High School in 1978 and went on to attend college at both Waubonsee Community College and Northern Illinois University. Along with his wife, and her grandparents he owned and operated A-1 Driving School in Aurora. He most currently worked for Alarm Detection Systems as their Central Station Manager, and has been a dedicated employee for the past 30 years. He had a strong passion for music and enjoyed attending concerts and touring with several rock bands. He attended over 500 concerts. He loved traveling and spending time with his family and his two loyal and loving dogs, Macie and Moxie.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 31 years, Vicki; the pride and joy of his life, his 9 year old son, Lane; his brother, Robert (Maureen) Cahill; mother-in-law, Nancy Allway; sisters-in-law, Andrea (Jacob) Curless, Nicole Allway and Amber (Phil) Kling. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Jr “Buddy” Cahill.
Family will be receiving friends and guests on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. A private interment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL.
