Richard Frey

Richard W. Frey, 89, of Aurora, IL passed away at Mercy Medical Center Friday, June 1, 2018.  He was born March 2, 1929, in Elgin, IL, son of Carl and Emma (Rower) Frey. He served in the United States Army in World War II as an auto mechanic, achieving the rank of Corporal. He was employed by The Nancy Hill Elementary School as Chief Custodian for many years. He enjoyed tinkering with cars. He is survived by 1 sister, Harriet, and 3 nephews, Alan (Linda) Simonson, Jeff (Janet) Simonson and Mike (the late Judy) Komes. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 12 years, Dorothy, 1 brother, Carl Jr., 2 sisters, Judy Frey and Marilyn Simonson. Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 3-7 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S.Broadway, Montgomery, IL.  Funeral Service Friday, 10:30 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home.
