Richard Allen Schultz “Rick” “Allen”, 62, of Montgomery, IL passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2018. He was born on January 14, 1956 in Memphis, TN the son of Richard and Carol (Wright) Schultz. In 1974 he graduated from Naperville Central High School. On November 2, 2018 he retired from the U.S. Post Office in Naperville after 41 years of dedicated service. He loved the Chicago Bears, enjoyed traveling but above all else he loved his family dearly. He will be remembered for his big heart and the compassion that he had for others.
He is survived by his wife Fran (Schuster) of 41 years; children, Shannon, Lisa, Matt (Amy) and Daniel (Lisa); grandchildren, Andrew, Olivia, Nathan, Emma and Jacob; mother, Carol (Terry) Beck; siblings, Carl (Caryn) Schultz, Roger Schultz, Kerry (the late Dave) Armogida, Glenn (Michelle) Beck, and Cathy (Brent) Strukely; mother-in-law Carm Schuster. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in laws and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his father Richard Schultz.
Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 14th at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, IL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to the Hesed House in Aurora www.hesedhouse.org or to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org .
