Richard (Rich) Walter Seib passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 20, 2022.  He was 75.

Rich was born on July 9, 1946, in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1947, he moved with his parents to his father's hometown of Aurora, Illinois.  He attended St. Paul's Lutheran School, East Aurora High School,  Mayfair Community College, Northern Illinois University and Roosevelt University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Roosevelt University in 1970.

While at Northern Illinois University, he started dating Carol Caldarelli and they married in 1971.  Three years later they welcomed their daughter Jennifer and son Michael in 1978.

Rich was passionate about his family and friends, art, photography and writing.  He loved meeting new people and visiting new places. His experiences inspired the books that he would later write. He published several novels and his files contained numerous ideas for more.  As a natural story-teller, Rich would recount all the people that he met during his travels as a veteran sales representative as well as over the years with family and friends.

Rich is survived by his wife of over 50 years Carol Seib, daughter Jennifer (Dan) Foster, son Michael Seib, sister Sharon Ream, several nephews and nieces, his beloved grandchildren Danny and Emily and countless extended family and friends.
