Robert W. Neis

Robert (Bob) William Neis, age 58, passed away Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at Provena Mercy Hospital as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Robert graduated Benet Academy in the year 1982, and later graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Psychology in the year 1986. Robert worked as an insurance underwriter for several decades, taking up residence in Soulard, St. Louis, Overland Park, Kansas, and traveling across many states. In 1993, Robert met his wife, Victoria (Jones) Neis while they both were working in Chicago. They married in 1997, and had their first child (Aidan) in 1999. Roberts work in insurance ended with his diagnosis of esophageal cancer in 2014. The remaining years of his life were spent with his family, undergoing treatment, riding his motorcycle, traveling and playing guitar.

Robert is survived by his wife Victoria, his three sons, Aidan, Brendan, and Cameron;  his sister, Mary E. (Monte) Spiedel of Minnesota; two brothers, Michael (Marie) Neis of Warrenville, and Kevin (Jean) Neis of Joliet; sister-in-law, Mary M. Neis of Grayslake and many nieces and nephews: Donald III, Janet, Megan, Margaret, Kathleen, Kristen, Regina, Bryan, Emily, Elizabeth and Patrick.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald Albert Neis and Mary Teresa (Seavolt) Neis and two of his brothers; Donald Jr., and John.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 7th, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Naperville, IL, followed by interment at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Naperville, IL.
