Robert W. Yelm

Robert Wesley Yelm, 75, of Montgomery, Il passed away on August 29, 2022. He was born on December 14, 1946 in Galesburg, IL the son of Robert and Charlotte (Carmichael) Yelm. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. On June 27, 1970 he married his beloved wife Dianne (Lewis) they would spend the next 52 years together. Through the years he held various jobs, most notably were his time as a Tool and Die maker at Equipto and All Steel and later owning and operating Viking Tool.  Bob loved fishing, boating and motorcycles. He was a man of few words and he loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife Dianne; children, Jason (Erica) Parsons Yelm, Brian (Stephanie) Yelm and Denise (David) Calzaretta; grandchildren, Alicia (Brian), Adrian (Selena), Donald, Brian, Isabella, Geneva, Amana, Oliver, James, Jakob, Ryah, and Avrie; one great-granddaughter on the way and dear cousin Kathy Dean. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Margie Yelm.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Community Room of Anderson Farms, 1500 Briarcliff Rd. Montgomery, IL 60538.
