“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
Psalm 23:5
It is with the deepest regret, and sadness that we announce the passing of Rodney (Boo) Hayden Jr. of Aurora Illinois.

Rodney Jr. was born on January 8th, 1993 to Rodney Sr. (deceased) and Sophia Rodriguez- Hayden. Rodney Jr. was the third son to the couple, preceded by his brothers Brandon Rodriguez and Ryan Hayden. He was an older brother to Richard (Ricky) Hayden. Rodney Jr. was also a brother to a host of adopted siblings.

Rodney Jr. was the very proud father to his pride and joy Italiia (Tally) Hayden.

Rodney Jr’s life was a life deeply rooted in love. He shared his father laugh, his grandmother’s spirit for the love of God and a deep thirst for knowledge and understanding that was all his own. Rodney exhibited immeasurable strength and grace through adversity and loved his family and friends fiercely.

He formed a special, unshakable bond with his uncle Sean and aunt Lisa Hayden, who had each become secondary parents. He received immeasurable support from his great aunt Janet Payne.

He leaves behind a daughter, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who have been forever blessed and inspired by his time with us, though it was far shorter than we all would have liked.

We cannot measure a life by days lived but by the impact of those days on others. And through his impact, Rodney lived an extraordinary life.

On January 5th, 2021, Rodney Jr. was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his paternal grandparents, Frances and Clifford Hayden and maternal grandparents, Virginia and Florencia Rodriguez. He was embraced by his father Rodney Hayden and his cousin Kyle Ivanov.

They have surely prepared a place for him at the Father’s table.

Please join us in rejoicing in his life and his legacy of strength of mind, heart and character.
