Roland Hix

Roland J. Hix, 91, of North Aurora, Passed away Monday February 26, 2018 at Presence Mercy Center in Aurora. He was born January 21, 1927, son of Clarence and Frieda (Denecke) Hix.  He proudly served in the United States Army at the end of World War II, stationed in Germany, and then at the beginning of the Korean Conflict, obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant.  He was employed as a carpenter and cabinet maker for Commercial Woodworking for over 30 years.  He is survived by 2 daughters, Renee Hix Mays and Wanda (Gerald) Bourne, and 1 grandaughter, Gabrielle. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 56 years, Clara “Cathy”.
