Ronnie D. Morris, 77, of Sugar Grove passed away on May 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by family after a brief illness. He was born on September 24, 1940 in Vienna, IL the son of William and Rena (Sullivan) Morris. He was an avid reader and loved Elvis. In 1980 he retired from A&P Foods after many years of dedicated service. For the past 38 years he owned and operated the Blue Boar Inn in Montgomery, the family bar that was started by his father-in-law.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Michael) Anderson; grandchildren, Jenna (fiancé Bryan Ardelean) Anderson, Kelsey (Kyle Borowski) Anderson and Daniel D. Morris II; 2 great-grandchildren, Camren and Aiden Hendricks and brothers, Don (Carol) Morris and Gary (Sandy) Morris as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and the love of his life Helen and 2 sons Ronald and Daniel Morris.
Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4:00 Pm to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral will be on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Dieterle Memorial Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
