Roy Parker

Roy Robert Parker, 75, of Montgomery, IL passed away at Copley Hospital  Friday, December 11, 2020.  He was born March 5, 1945 in Aurora, IL, son of the late Robert Louis Parker and Nora Lee Parker.

Roy is preceded in death by his sister Joy (Jerry) Zeier of Edwardsville, IL.

He was a lifelong resident of Aurora and Montgomery.  He graduated from East Aurora High School.  Following graduation, Roy entered the Navy.  In his career, Roy worked at Rusty's grocery store and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.    

He was actively involved and supported the 3RD Ward Club and many other social clubs in Aurora.  His interests included Chicago White Sox baseball and Chicago Bears Football.

Roy's family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to all of the caring friends and extended family in this time of grief.  His friends and family will dearly miss him.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5th, 2021 from 4PM until 6PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538.  Internment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park Saturday morning February 6 at 10AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.
