Roy Edward Robb “Robbie”, 83, of Aurora, IL passed away on November 14, 2019. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 28, 1935 the son of James and Prudence (Matthews) Robb. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corp and was a member of the Oswego American Legion and AmVets. He was also a member of the Phoenix Club, Luxies Club and the Moose Lodge. He retired with the U.S. Government and for 25 years worked in the Air Traffic Control Division. Robbie had a zest for life and was always the life of the party, to know him was to love him. He loved Nascar, golfing, bowling, playing pool, throwing darts, dancing, playing cards, snowmobiling and many other activities. He was also a die hard Chicago sports fan. He was proud of the hole in one that he got at Bliss Creek Golf Course on Hole 16. He loved to travel to Treasure Island, Florida. His joke telling, humorous and loving spirit will be deeply missed and he will live on in each lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Eleanor “Ellie” Robb; daughter, Laura Robb Elan; step-children, Kathryn (Scott) Bogdan, Don Goldsberry; grandchildren, Ethan (Rachel Strauss) Robb Elan, Michael Goldsberry, Jared Bogdan and Ashley (Stephen) Johnson; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, James Robb, Jo Ann Vosacek and Jeanette Ohanesian. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Family will be receiving guests on Thursday; November 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will be private.
