Ruth F. Hilgen, 85, passed away Wednesday January 30, 2019 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville. She was born November 26, 1933 in Aurora, IL, daughter of Clarence and Marjorie (Neu) Kalstedt. Ruth was employed Precision Packaging for 8+ years but the job she enjoyed the most was an assembling line worker at Anchor Brush for over 15 years. Ruth enjoyed reading, cooking, karaoke, watching the old TV shows and movies, but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Ruth is survived by her 2 sons, Craig and Edmund (Monica), 1 daughter, Cheryl (Richard) Salinas, 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Taylor, Renee and Elizabeth. Many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years, Howard, and 1 brother, Thomas (the late Mary). Family will be receiving guests Monday February 4, 2019 from 3-7pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery. Funeral services Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at the funeral Home. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora. The family would like to thank Rush Copley Medical Center, Rush University Hospital, Central DuPage Hospital, Marianjoy Rehabilitation, and Seasons Hospice for their dedication, love and compassion shown to Ruth during her time at those facilities.
