San Juanita Vargas

San Juanita Vargas, 74, of Aurora IL, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 6, 1946 in McAllen, TX, the daughter of Pablo and Ignacia (Eufracio) Pruneda. To her family and friends she was known as Janie. She enjoyed visiting and reminiscing on old times with her siblings. One of her joys in life were being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was married to Jose B. Vargas for 52 years. Whenever she had the chance to she put on her tejano music. Her favorite drink was a margarita . She was a jokester at heart and always had a joke or two up her sleeve. She will be missed dearly everyday.

She is survived by her husband, Jose B Vargas of Auora, IL , 2 daughters, Maricela (Noe) Olivares of Alamo, Tx and Yesenia (Daniel) Avila of Aurora, IL her 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. As well as 2 sisters Paula Lopez and Mary Alice Garza, 2 brothers Joel Pruneda and Pablo (Victoria) Pruneda Jr and several nieces and nephews.

San Juanita was preceded in death by her parents and loving son Jose E Vargas as well as her sister Guadalupe Figueroa and 3 brothers Rumaldo and Victor Rodriguez and Rogelio Pruneda.  

As to San Juanita wishes, there will be no services she will be cremated
