Shirley Jean Cadle, 80, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday October 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 21, 1941 in Belize, Central America, daughter of Charles and Mabel (Whylie) Flowers. Shirley was a Teacher for 2 years, a librarian for 10 years and a splendid homemaker as well. She enjoyed being a seamstress, a renowned baker as well as an ardent community activist, discussing social issues politics with anyone, Most of all she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She is survived by a son Orvin Jr., 2 daughters; Shirley (Nathan) Turner and Norine Cadle (Barbara Guzman). 10 grandchildren; Maureen (Louis) Young, Devon Valasquez, Kenecia Velazquez, Tanya Velazquez, Erin (Louis) Martinez, Kjeil (Veronique) Palacio, Darren Cadle, Shanine Reedy, Aiden Cadle, Cassandra Cadle and Lauren Cadle. 15 great grandchildren; Amani, Imani, Misty, Ebony, Tristen, Kelee, Amika, Christen, Louis Jr., Meloney, Ava, Camron, Kimani, Kelaya, Amelia, Ivy and Rian, 4 great great grandchildren; Kadie, Liejahany, Jazzlie, David Jr. and 1 brother Eric and a host of nieces and nephews. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orvin Sr., 3 sons; Clark, Dion, Kirk, and a daughter, Carolyn and her siblings; Marie Cumberbatch, Jeannette Flowers, Myrna Faber, Allison Crawford, Marion Flowers,. Rita Flowers, Gwendolyn Flowers, Rudy Flowers, Lloyd Flowers and Egbert and grandchildren; Kjeil and Que. Family will be receiving guests Monday October 25, 2021 from 11am until time of service at 1pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery.
