Shirley Langeland

Shirley K. Langeland, 75 of Newark, passed away Tuesday December 18, 2018 at McCauley Manor in Aurora.  She was born in Lebanon, Indiana July 17, 1943, daughter of Burley and Clara (Adkins) Shaver. She was a nurse’s aide for 20 + years at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora.  Shirley enjoyed reading and quilting; creating hundreds of quilts throughout her lifetime. Shirley is survived by 2 sons, Vern (Patti) Kahle, Raymond (Lorene) Walper. 3 grandchildren, Kramer (Elizabeth), Brianna, Samantha (Michael) Wesley; 2 great grandchildren, Justin and Mariam and a son-in-law, Dean Vardel. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Keith and Dale, 1 daughter, Sue Vardel, and a grandson, Kelsey.  A celebration of Shirley’s life will take place at a later date.
